Non-surgical nose thread lift uses synthetic and dissolvable threads made from a complex sugar called PDO (polydioxanone), which has been used in biomedical and pharmaceutical applications for many years because of its extremely safe profile. This medical-grade suture material is non-allergic and non-antigenic, and is also completely biodegradable, meaning the body completely absorbs the PDO material over time.

What should you expect during the procedure?

Prior to your procedure, a consultation with a Mold Manila Aesthetic doctor will be required to discuss the look that you would like to achieve.

On the day of your procedure, your doctor will have you lie down with your face tilted up. A topical anesthesia will be applied to your nose and the surrounding area so you will not feel any pain or discomfort. After 10-15 minutes a local anesthesia will be injected to your nose in order to numb the relevant parts and this will take 10-15 minutes to take effect.

Under local anesthesia, your doctor will begin to place fine threads horizontally along the nasal bridge for the nose height and the septum to give projection to the nose, and vertically into the nose tip. The point of entry of the threads may be at the nose tip or even within the nasal cavity. Then, once the thread is inserted, your doctor will achieve the desired lifting effect by applying slight pressure to the tissue underneath to re-shape it by hand.

The number of threads required varies according to individuals, their current nose shape, and the desired outcome. Results are immediately visible as the threads provide the scaffold for the nose.

The procedure can take anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes.

How does recovery from the procedure looks like?

• Strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
• Touching your nose.
• Sleeping facedown.
• Skincare treatments and facial massages for ten days.
• Applying make-up for at least 12 hours.
• Alcohol and smoking for seven days. They can slow down your skin’s healing process.
• Direct sunlight. Always wear sunscreen.
